The CME started with a talk on Diet for doctor’s latest trend and facts by Dr. Tejas Limaye. All myths and facts about diet were put forth in a very simple way. Internet addiction talk by Mrs. Mukta Puntambekar gave an alarming warning to all of us, its consequences and how to tackle this problem. One topic which causes goosebumps on our skin is Child sexual abuse.
Dr. Anuradha sahasrabuddhe gave us the real ground reality about this situation and how as a doctor we can help the victims. Family first and so is the financial security. Dr. Ram Arankar presented a talk on Secure your family giving insight about various social security schemes run by our IMA association.
The first session was followed by Inauguration ceremony. We had Dr. Shalini Pawar Director, New Wing and Dr. Vrushali khole, Manager Administration from DYPMC as chief guest. Our Patron Dr. Dilip Kamat, President Dr. Suhas Mate, Secretary Dr. Sudhir Bhalerao, WDW Chairman Dr. Maya bhalerao, Dr. Madhav Kulkarni, Dr. Shaileja Mane, Dr. Dakshayani Nirale and Dr. Manisha Doiphode joined for Lamp Lighting
SPANDAN and IMA PCB DIARY was released on this occassion. Dr. Manisha Doiphode n Dr. Madhav Kulkarni gave introduction of Spandan and Diary respectively.
Inaugural session was followed by our Key Note Speaker Dr. Bhushan Shukla. His talk on DOCTOR PATIENT GOVERNMENT RELATIONSHIP ISSUE was a burning topic for all and ofcourse Dr. Shukla added enough spice to make all doctors charged with pride and enthusiasm. A superb talk indeed. Dr. Deepak gave us the bitter facts about Tuberculosis scenario in India. IMA end TB Initiative is being conducted all over India by IMA to tackle this issue. The last session was a Organ donation n transplant Symposium. Dr. Pavan Wakhare told us about Human Transplant Act. Dr. Deepali Kate gave an overview of organ donation n transplantation. Dr. vibhute spoke about liver transplantation. This was followed by A panel discussion moderated by Dr. Maya Bhalerao with all above speakers as a panelist and we included Mrs Mayuri Barge Organ donation co-ordinator also. The panel discussion gave a complete information about donor, recipient, procedure myths and facts.
Dr. Jyoti Dekate did excellent anchoring of the entire event which was ended by valedictory function by Secretary Dr. Bhalerao.
