CPR and Organ Donation Awareness Talk

IMA PCB was invited by SNBP College of Pharmacy to give guest lectures on ‘Organ Donation’ and CPR session. President Dr. Maya Bhalerao and Secretary Dr. Sarika Lonkar gave talk on Importance of Organ Donation and its awareness in Society. This was followed by talk on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and demonstration on mannequin by Dr. Ashvin Bhalerao, Dr. Bhavesh Sheth- President SAPC and Dr. Uma Deshmukh- Secretary SAPC. The session was attended by 150 pharmacy students and college staff. All the attendees queries were answered and informative booklets and posters were distributed to the staff and students. Students were encouraged to spread awareness about organ donation and display posters at their respective housing societies. QR code was shared for registration as Organ Donor. The speakers emphasised the importance of keeping close relatives informed as their consent is important post death of an organ donor.
