Walkathon

7th April 2023 WHO Day was celebrated as Samarpan Diwas by IMA PCB. Being a diamond jubilee year of World Health Day, ‘Health For All’ was the theme. A 5km Walkathon from Ganesh Talav to Durga Tekdi and back was organised by IMAPCB along with PCMC Runners group for citizens of PCMC. About 125 citizens participated in the walk holding placards of slogans related to Good Health practices. Dr. Sanjeev Datye flagged off the walkathon.

IMA PCB office bearers Dr. Sushil Muthiyan (President), Dr. Aniruddha Tongaonkar (Secretary), Dr Vikas Mandlecha (treasurer), Dr. Suhas Lunkad (Joint Secretary), Dr. Deepali Tongaonkar, Dr Ritu Lokhande (WDW Chairman), Dr. Jyoti Dekate (WDW Co-Chairman), Dr. Maya Bhalerao (President elect) and Dr. Lalitkumar Dhoka (Executive vice president) were present. Mr. Hitesh Gupta, Hushan Bishan & Dr Deepak Umrankar from PCMC Runners group were instrumental in smoothly conducting the event.

In the afternoon IMA members felicitated the staff of their respective hospitals in appreciation of their relentless services. In the evening at 7 pm the IMA members lit a candle at their respective hospitals to reinforce their commitment to Well being and Good Health of all Citizens. Such activities were conducted all over the country responding to the appeal by National IMA President Dr. Sharad Kumar Agarwal.
