CPR Workshop

First time ever in PCMC, CPR simulation workshop was organised by IMA PCB in association with Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. IMA PCB dedicated the workshop to founding trustee late Dr. Ajit Yadav. High fidelity full body simulation mannequin from Delta Healthcare, Chennai was mobilised by Dr Rajendra Patil and rest 5 mannequins for BLS, 3 intubating Manneqins, AED, 2 defibrillators were mobilised by Dr. Maya Bhalerao, Dr. Sarika Lonkar and Dr Sumeet Lad.

The Workshop faculty did excellent demonstrations and all delegates got hands on experience at the expertly organized workstations. The speakers included Dr. Sarika Lonkar who gave talk on basic life support steps 1 to 5, Dr. Seema Suryawanshi delivered her talk on automated external defibrillator step 6, Dr Venkatesh Dhat spoke on ACLS Algorithm and Dr. Rajesh Badani delivered talk on cardiac arrhythmias. CEO ABMH Mr. Pamesh Gupta, Medical Director Dr Nitin Mahantshetty and co-chairman Dr. Annapoorna Kalia were instrumental in securing the venue ensuring the smooth conduct of the workshop.The delegates were treated to an academic extravaganza with senior Medical Simulation Educator Dr. Rajendrasingh Patil who made the workshop very interactive. He was ably assisted by Dr. Jui Lagoo and Dr. Seema Walke for real life case scenarios simulation.

The workstation faculty included Dr. Sangita Thakre, Dr Amit Choudhari, Dr. Tushar Yadav, Dr. Poonam Choudhary, Dr. Jitendra Waghmare, Dr. Supriya Lankepillewar, Dr. Mayuri More , Dr Varsha Koyale , Dr Aditee Yelmar, Dr. Shubhangi Kothari and Dr. Bhavesh Sheth. Pre workshop reading material was circulated to delegates to have some orientation about CPR. Pre and post workshop test was conducted. A big size CPR algorithm charts were distributed to the delegates for display in their hospitals and clinics. A very well compiled Spandan on CPR by Workshop Organizing Chairman and Chief Editor Dr. Sumeet Lad and Editorial team Dr. Nihar Ingle, Dr. Geeta Karambelkar and Dr. Sanjeev Datye was released on this occasion. This issue is a handy booklet in case of emergency.

Dr. Milind Sonawane handled the registration desk and Treasurer Dr. Manisha Doiphode handled accounting and was MoC of the workshop. This workshop was the brainchild of President Dr. Maya Bhalerao. She worked tirelessly with Secretary Dr. Sarika Lonkar to ensure the success of the workshop. It is a testament that academic content is king as attendance was maximum till the conclusion of the workshop.
